Memos and tasks in the Hub - Pacten Guides

The Hub is how something reaches the whole company, and how you find out whether it landed. Under People → Hub.

TWO THINGS
Memos and tasks
They ask for different things.
Tip
Use a memo when you need to be able to prove people were told — a policy change, a safety notice, a change to terms. Acknowledgement is a record, and it is the thing that is impossible to reconstruct afterwards if you sent an email instead.
WHO GETS IT
Everyone, a department, or named people
Narrower is usually better.

A memo or task can go to the whole workspace, to a department, or to specific people. Sending everything to everybody is the fastest way to teach your team that Hub items can be ignored, which then makes the one that matters ineffective.

DID IT LAND
Completion and acknowledgement
The reason to use this rather than email.

Each item shows its completion rate, who has acknowledged or completed it, and who has not. Tasks show what is due this week and what is overdue.

That visibility is the whole point. “I sent it to everyone” and “everyone has read it” are different claims, and only one of them is worth anything when it matters.
