Publishing a post - Pacten Guides
A post goes out from the composer. Open the post at its Published stage and press Make the post. The composer opens with the post’s caption, networks, date and final cut already filled in.
1
Check the caption and media
Write the caption once for every channel. Add media lets you pick from the Library or upload.
2
Pick the channels
Choose the connected channels it goes to. A channel that cannot publish is named, and left out of the post. If none is connected, the page links to Connect a channel.
3
Choose when
Under When & send choose Now or Schedule. Scheduling takes a date, a time and a timezone.
4
Send it
The main button reads Publish now, or Schedule followed by the day and time. To keep it without sending, press Save to Drafts.
Who can publish
Owners and admins publish directly. For anyone else the button reads Submit for approval, and an owner or admin approves before anything reaches a network.
AFTER IT GOES
The Published stage tells you what happened
One row per network.
- Where it went. Each network’s own result and a link to the post. A network that failed says why and offers a retry for that network only.
- How it did. The numbers read from each network. A new post refreshes itself for its first two days.
- When it goes out. Before it is out, each network shows its best time, read from that account’s own history.
- The record. Whether it was approved, by whom and when. Duplicate runs it again. The report opens the full result.
Only the network can say it went out
Only the network can say a post went out. Until it does, the post reads as scheduled.
Your work in the composer is saved on this device as you go. Discard throws it away, and leaving asks you to confirm.
