Raising a delivery request by hand - Pacten Guides

Most requests arrive on their own, from a paid checkout or a converted lead. This is the third route: work that was agreed on a call, over email or in person and never went through a form.

Open Delivery → Delivery Requests and choose New delivery request.

FILLING IT IN
What each field is for
Only one of them is required.
1
Client — the only required field
Search your CRM by name, email or company. If they are not there yet, Add a new client to the CRM without leaving the form. Until a client is chosen the footer reads “Pick a client to continue” and the Create button stays inactive.
2
Amount and agreed delivery date
Both optional, and both worth filling in: the amount is what an approval threshold is measured against, and the date is what the queue sorts and chases by.
3
Delivery address
Start typing and pick from the suggestions, so the address is structured rather than free text.
4
What was agreed
The most useful box on the form. Whoever picks this up later was not on the call — price, timing, and anything promised belongs here.
5
Attachments
A quote, a signed order, a photo of the site. Anything the person fulfilling it would otherwise have to come back and ask for.
6
Assign to
Optional. Leave it unassigned if you do not yet know who is doing it — it can be assigned from the queue at any time.
TWO BUTTONS
Save as draft, or Create request
They do different things.
Watch out
A draft is not in anybody’s queue. If it is genuinely agreed work, submit it — a draft nobody can see is the most common reason a job is missed.
AFTER SUBMITTING
What happens next
It depends on whether your workspace requires approval.

If no approval chain is configured, the request goes straight into the queue and the assignee is notified. If one is configured, the request waits for a decision first, and cannot be dispatched or marked delivered until it has one.

Set up approvals
Require a decision before anything is dispatched.
