Renaming your pipeline stages - Pacten Guides
Every workspace starts with a working set of pipeline stages, so the pipeline is usable before you touch anything. What the defaults are not is yours — most teams have their own names for the steps a deal goes through, and a stage nobody recognises is a stage nobody updates.
You will find them under CRM → Settings.
Renaming a stage does not move anything. Every lead stays exactly where it is; only the label changes, everywhere it appears.
Worth doing early
Do this before the rest of your team starts working leads. People learn the stage names by using them, and renaming after everyone has learned the old ones costs more than the rename saves.
You can also change the order the stages run in. Keep it to the steps you genuinely track — a pipeline with nine stages where three are ever used reads as a mess to everybody but its author.
