Saying where new leads come from - Pacten Guides
A lead source is a live route into your pipeline. Set one up and enquiries arrive by themselves, already in CRM, without anybody copying anything across. Set none up and the pipeline only ever holds what somebody typed in by hand.
You will find it under CRM → Settings.
Each source gets its own private web address to send to. Give that address to your website form, or to a tool you already use, and anything it sends lands here.
- A form on your website — the most common one, and the one most people mean by "where leads come from".
- A tool you already use — Zapier, Clay or Outscraper can all send here.
- Anything else that can send a web request — a general option for a developer to wire up.
Each source keeps a running count of what has arrived through it and when the last one came, so you can tell at a glance whether something has gone quiet.
Pausing a source
A source can be paused rather than deleted. Pausing stops new leads arriving through it but keeps its address and its history, so you can switch it back on without reconfiguring anything at the other end.
