What Planner does today — and what is coming - Pacten Guides
Planner brings projects, the people doing them, and what they cost into one app. Part of it is live and in daily use; part of it is mapped out and not built yet. This page says plainly which is which, so you are never guessing.
LIVE TODAY
What you can use now
These are real and complete.
- Home — the Planner dashboard, with the numbers that are real today.
- Projects — create a project, break it into phases, and open one to work in it.
- Tasks — the task board across everything, with assignees, due dates, checklists and comments.
- Workload — who is overloaded and who has room, by the hour, week by week. Reports — project health and progress. See the note in the reports guide about one part of this screen.
- Activity — the record of what happened.
- Settings — who can do what in Planner.
NOT BUILT YET
Mapped, routed, honestly marked
Expected around October 2026.
Three sections appear in the rail and open to a page that tells you they are not built. That is deliberate: the full shape of the app is visible from day one rather than appearing piece by piece, and nothing is ever a dead link that fails silently.
- Resourcing — assigning people to future work by role and availability.
- Budgets — billable and cost rates, burn, and overspend alerts rolled up across projects.
- Time — timers and timesheets promoted into Planner as a first-class surface.
Tip
Two of those already exist elsewhere in the product in some form. Timers and timesheets are available today under Time & Leave, and capacity is already computed and visible. What is being built is bringing them into Planner as proper surfaces — not the underlying capability from nothing.
Watch out
Dates on unbuilt work are intentions, not commitments. October 2026 is the current expectation for this group; if that changes, the sections will still tell you the truth about their own state, which is the part you can rely on.
