Delivery requests: where they come from - Pacten Guides
A delivery request is one piece of agreed work waiting to be fulfilled. Your workspace may call it an order, a job, a sales request or a booking — the queue is the same, and everything that has been paid for or agreed lands in it.
You will find it under Delivery → Delivery Requests.
THREE SOURCES
How a request gets there
Only one of the three involves anybody typing.
1
Somebody paid
A checkout completes and the request appears immediately, with what was bought already attached. Nobody raises it by hand.
2
A lead was converted
When a lead in CRM is marked as won, the work it represents arrives here ready to be placed.
3
Somebody raised it
For work agreed on a call, over email or in person that never went through a form — see Raising a delivery request by hand.
Tip
The source is shown on every row, so you can always tell why something is in the queue before you act on it.
WHAT YOU SEE
The queue
One list, whatever the work is.
Each row carries the client, what was agreed, the amount where there is one, and who it is assigned to. An empty queue means nothing is waiting — not that something is broken.
Note
The columns are not fixed. Your workspace can add its own fields to this queue — a load number, a vehicle, a site contact — and they appear as columns alongside the standard ones. So two workspaces can use the same queue and see different things.
WHAT IT IS NOT
Delivery requests vs shipments
One is the agreement. The other is the movement.
- A delivery request is the agreed work — who it is for, what was agreed, what it is worth.
- A shipment is a physical movement against that request, tracked separately under Delivery → Shipments.
- One request can produce more than one shipment, which is why they are not the same screen.
